What content can therapists create to attract more clients? with Martin Huntbach and Lyndsay Cambridge

If you’re going to invest your time into writing a blog (or producing other content) then you want to make sure you get results. And the result you ultimately want is regular client enquiries so you can sustain a consistent client base and ditch the’ feast and famine’ stress in your business.

Sounds good. But how do you know what that is? What blogs can you produce to attract clients?

Though actually, it’s more than that. The question really is ‘How can you attract the right clients for you?’.

Because you don’t want just any client. Can you imagine if all the clients you attracted had an issue that you just didn’t like working with?

No, you want to enjoy the work you do, feel fulfilled, work with issues you feel passionately about and use the modalities you love. You want clients that are a good fit for you because that means your clients are more likely to really engage with the process and ultimately get the transformation they want in order to move on with their lives. It’s a win/win situation

And the way to do that is through the content you produce.

In this episode, I have 2 of the best blogging experts around - Martin Huntbach and Lyndsay Cambridge, co-authors of Content Fortress.

The tagline on the book is ‘A simple content strategy to help you attract customers you’ll love to work with’.

And I have to say, I have enjoyed blogging for years, but I picked up some real gems from this call. So if you already write or are thinking about starting, this episode is for you.

We talk about

  • What to focus on when you’re just getting started blogging,
  • What content won’t work well for therapists,
  • How blogging regularly will boost your practice
  • And how it will elevate you in a crowded market

Who are Martin and Lyndsay?

They are authors of the best-selling book Content Fortress and directors of Jammy Digital - an award-winning agency that helps entrepreneurs get more sales from their websites.

While running their web design agency, Martin and Lyndsay discovered how to use content to get more leads and sales. But having experienced just how difficult it is to balance running a business and family life, Martin and Lyndsay learnt how to use content to attract higher-paying, better clients who were eager to work with them.

They now dedicate their time to helping other business owners do the same.

The Grow Your Private Practice Show
Helping Counsellors and Therapists Get Found By More Clients More Easily
I’m Jane Travis and I’m an ex counsellor that now works with other therapists to grow their private practice, hence the name of the show.

I’m the author of the Grow Your Private Practice book and also run the Grow Your Private Practice membership, where counsellors can get together and learn all about marketing, with a special love of all things blogging.

Okay, that’s the official stuffy 'about me' bit out of the way, because honestly, it’s so much more than that.

The truth is, the thing that really drives me, is helping counsellors - counsellors like you - to get more freedom and choice into your life so can work when you want to, how you want to and with the issues that you’re passionate about.

And importantly, to get paid properly to do so.

Because you have the freedom and choice to run a thriving private practice whilst also creating a fulfilling life for both yourself and your family.

If you want that too, please click subscribe. I hope you enjoy listening.

Jane Travis

Hi, I’m Jane. I’m a former counsellor who now helps other counsellors and psychotherapists to grow their private practice, hence the name of the show.

I’m the author of the Grow Your Private Practice book, and I run the Grow Your Private Practice membership, where therapists come together to learn all about marketing in a way that feels doable, ethical, and actually kind of fun.

Okay, so that’s the official, slightly stuffy “about me” bit.

But the truth is - it’s about so much more than that.

What really drives me is helping people like you create more freedom and choice in your life. So you can work the hours you want, in the way that suits you, with the clients and issues you’re passionate about. And most importantly? Get paid properly to do it.

Because you CAN build a practice that supports you - not just emotionally, but financially too.

I hope you enjoy listening.
